Crystal Palate is a boutique wine & gourmet shop in East Beach, Norfolk just a short walk from the Chesapeake Bay. Whether you are looking to restock your wine cellar, curate a thoughtful gift, or need pairing advice - our amazing team is here to serve you!
We offer weekly tastings, wine classes and events for wine enthusiasts, private wine experiences and professional qualifications from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) as a satellite location for Vitis House out of Raleigh, NC. Did you know that 5 of our team members have WSET qualifications. If you have wine questions, we have the answers. Our team of experts is here to help you uncork your curiosity!

Aperitivo Hour
Relax in our beautiful tasting salon, around the farmhouse table or on our patio (seasonal). Savor a great glass or share a bottle. Enjoy delicious light bites and experience warm hospitality. Available Wednesday-Friday from 4-7pm and from 1pm-6pm on Saturday!
Weekly Offerings
We always have something exciting going on at Crystal Palate. Our educational events on Wednesday and Thursday require reservations. Our casual events on Friday and Saturday are social gatherings. Wednesday | 6:30pm (Guided Tasting)
Our Wine Wednesday tastings offer a curated tasting experience of 4 wines with one of our wine educators. These tastings generally last 30-40 minutes and include a discussion on the region, history, pairing ideas and the story behind the label. Think of it as a mini-class!
Reservations are required. Please arrive by 6:30pm. Wednesday tastings are $25 per person. Club Members receive complimentary tastings for 2 each week. RSVP for Wine Wednesday. Interested in becoming a member? See our Membership Offerings.
Thursdays | 6pm
We offer seated classes most Thursday evenings at 6pm. Topics range from Back to Basics Classes, Wine 101, Pizza Pairing Workshops, Regional Tastings, Blind Tastings and Masterclasses. Reservations are required for our educational classes. Visit our events page to register for our upcoming events.
Fridays| 6-8pm
Unwind after a long week and join us for live music in our Tasting Salon every Friday evening from 6-8pm. Enjoy glasses, wine flights, bottle service and light fare. Seating is first come, first serve. Follow us on Instagram to stay up to date on our schedule of musicians.
Saturdays: 4-5:30pm (Open-House Style)
Our Social Saturday Tastings offer a casual tasting of 4 wines (Somm's Choice) with a focus on value-driven bottles under $30. This is an open-house style tasting experience. Arrive anytime between 4-5:30pm to begin your tasting. We also offer $10 glasses on featured bottles on the tasting table every Saturday in addition to our glass list. Tastings are $15 per Guest / Members receive complimentary tastings for 2 each week.

Local Delivery
We offer complimentary delivery within the East Beach peninsula and surrounding neighborhoods with a $50 minimum order. Delivery is available in the Southside for a $25 service charge.
